Lessons in light

I started this gallery so that I can keep track of what I am trying to learn about off camera flash. I am uploading these right from LR with only very minor adjustments in exposure and cropping so I can compare what I am doing with the flash. I have described my setup in the caption. Unless otherwise noted, all flash settings are in manual, not ETTL. Unless noted, there has been no processing in photoshop.

Going for the "Rembrandt" effect. Hard to do by yourself and with a dog as you really can't just say, turn your head to the left just a bit and tip your nose down :-) I used the Apollo Orb to one side and and another flash shooting into a zebra weave reflector on the other side.

having two speedlites works much better with Flint because he is so dark. This lighting is almost too even don't you think?

I didn't crop the reflector out of this one. The single flash is in the apollo orb - also just out of the picture's edge to the right.
